Day 1
Visit the interesting sites of St. Ignace: Marquette Mission Park and Museum of Ojibwa Culture, final resting place of Father Jacques Marquette; Marquette National Memorial; Fort de Buade; walk the Historic Huron Boardwalk; browse through our shops; or visit the bridge at sunset. A day for unwinding at a relaxed pace.

Day 2

Take a morning ferry to Mackinac Island.   Explore Fort Mackinac, Mackinac State Historic Parks, and learn the history of the island and its relevance to our country today.  Then return in the evening to relax and dine in one of St. Ignace’s fine restaurants.

Day 3

Drive the Eastern Upper Peninsula scenic route past the tranquil beauty of Les Cheneaux Islands to Drummond Island. Head north to the Soo Locks, then back to St. Ignace, your hospitable, Upper Peninsula home. Swim, dine and relax!

Day 4 Drive north on M-123 through Paradise and on to Whitefish Point Light and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum.  The Whitefish Point Light is the oldest operating lighthouse on Lake Superior.  Return south to Tahquamenon Falls known as ‘Michigan’s Niagara’, west to Seney Wildlife Refuge, the largest wildlife refuge east of the Mississippi, and back to St. Ignace along the Lake Michigan shoreline, with a stop at the sand dunes and perhaps a stroll on the North Country Trail, the longest footpath in the United States at 4600 miles!
